In a Facebook post of Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo, she accused ABS-CBN for taking advantage of her attendance at a forum where she was cornered to make her stand on the alleged extrajudicial killings. Taguiwalo boiled in anger at ABS-CBN News’ article about her statements in an October 6 women’s forum making it appear that she was an opponent of President Rodrigo Duterte.

ABS-CBN’s online news report, had the title of, “Duterte ally, women’s group’s call for end to drug-related slays.” “We do not tolerate extrajudicial killings and we are all for due process, and we must strengthen our voice when it comes to promoting humane and compassionate means to end or mitigate the drug problem,” Taguiwalo said.

Taguiwalo said her statement was framed in the article as she emphasized that she was invited to the forum to talk about the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) programs.

“This is how you are used by people you trust for a prop action against the President when you were just invited to talk about social protection programs and DSWD’s role in the rehabilitation of drug victims."

“I am so disappointed!! Never again!!” Taguiwalo added.
